The normal paraffin hydrocarbon in diesel oil changes its flow state with decreasing temperature. At low temperature, the paraffin precipitates, forming a flake diamond crystal, and the crystals are connected to each other, making the oil lose fluidity and present a solidified state.
The addition of decoagulant can change the crystalline shape or size of paraffin, but it can not prevent the crystallization of paraffin. Therefore, under the action of the depressant, when the diesel temperature is reduced, a large number of fine wax crystal particles will appear in the diesel with a high paraffin content, making the appearance of the oil cloudy, which is a normal physical phenomenon, and does not affect the smooth passage of diesel through the filter (or filter), nor will it affect other performance indicators of diesel. It is worth noting that after blending, it should be sold in time, and once the dispersed wax settles, the cold filter point of the upper clean oil is very difficult to fall.
The use effect of point depressant not only depends on the performance of point depressant itself, but also closely related to the composition of the oil added. When the same depressant is added to different diesel, the amplitude of reducing the cold filter point (that is, the sensitivity) has a large difference.

Usage and dosage

 

Before using the Diesel pour point depressant, it should be tested in the laboratory and added in a certain proportion according to the results of the small test. The general addition amount is 0.3-1‰.
Mixing devices such as agitators and static mixers can be mixed evenly according to the harmonic ratio. Mixing can be carried out in the large tank through the pump cycle, or the mixing can be completed by natural oscillation through long-distance transportation in the tank truck.
When the ambient temperature is too low to cause the product is too viscous, the thermal oil, steam, hot water and other media can be used for indirect heating (no direct heating by open fire), but then dilute the product with kerosene; At the same time, the temperature of diesel oil should be about 40 ° C, so that the coagulant and diesel oil can be fully and evenly mixed to achieve the use effect.
