Ferrocene is an organic metal compound with the chemical formula Fe (C5H5) 2, formed by coordinating two cyclopentadienyl anions with an iron ion. Its unique "sandwich" structure endows it with excellent thermal stability, redox properties, and catalytic performance, and is widely used in fields such as fuel additives, anti knock agents, pharmaceutical synthesis, and polymer material modification.
When used as a fuel additive, ferrocene can significantly improve fuel combustion efficiency, reduce carbon deposition, and lower exhaust pollutant emissions; In the polymer industry, it can be used as a free radical inhibitor or crosslinking agent to improve material properties. It should be noted that although ferrocene has stable chemical properties, it still needs to avoid contact with strong oxidants and acids, and may undergo slow decomposition under high temperature or long-term light exposure.

Usage and dosage

 

1. Addition ratio: Determine the optimal addition amount through laboratory trials based on the application field.
2. Fuel additives: The recommended dosage is 0.01% -0.1% of the fuel mass.
3. Polymer material modification: usually added in an amount of 0.1% -1% of the substrate.

When storing the solution, it should be sealed and protected from light to prevent solvent evaporation and ferrocene oxidation.

Packaging & Shipping

1. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated place, away from sources of fire and strong oxidants, avoid direct sunlight, and long-term storage temperature is recommended to be ≤ 30 ºC.
